My Sunkist Fruit

On 29 Sept, 2021, the fruits have reached it full size.

Remember, the flowers started on 15 May.and 4 months later, this is how it look like.

On 27 Feb 2021, I thought the lemon tree
 is ready to fruit. So I stimulate by changing
 the shape 

So on 17 May 2021, it started to bear flowers.
Total of 8, but now 20 Jun, I have only
3 fruits

Now 29 June 2021, the fruit is getting bigger

My Second Cavendish Banana

Whe I bought the tree on 14 August 2021, It had 3 baby banana.

I separated them. One died off.

The seedlings were potted and it has 5 leaves now. It was 2 leaves when I bought it.

PLANTING CAVENDISH BANANA

After 2 weeks, the banana had grown about 2  inches. It grew very fast..The leaves from 4 to 8 leaves now.

Next 14 Aug 2021 .........

 Today 14 Aug 2021, I received the cavendish banana from Lazada. It cost about rm 40. 

It has 3 babies banana, I chopped it off and replant them. Two survived but the third one died off.

The banana plant arrived in good condition..

SURROUNDED BY FLOWERS

 A very comforting living. A house surrounded by beautuful flowers.

Location: City of Ipoh , Malaysia, about 200 km north of the capital Kuala Lumpur.

She loves flowers and love to plant and care for the flowers.

I dont. I prefer to plant fruits trees, something of economic value.

TRANSFER TO GROUND

It was time to move my fig tree to the ground. The polybag was for nusery only.

This is the process involved.

1. Preparation of the planting spot.

1. Menyediakan Tapak.

b. Isikan cumpuran tanah
Saya mencuba campuran berikut..
- 2 tanah hitam
- 2 tanah merah bakar
- 1 cocopeat
- 1 tanah 6 in 1
- 0.1 tahi ayam
di gaul kemudian disiram dengan air dan direhatkan seminggu.

2. Anak yang sudah matang dan tahan berpanas

3. Menanam - diwaktu petang - jam 5 petang, disiram hingga basah.

4. Di tutup dengan daun selama 2 minggu dan disiram tiap tiap pagi.

CEMPEDAK FRUIT

 I am trying to translate the name of the fruit, cempedak. Looking at the dictionary, it is translated as jack fruit. But I know jack fruit is slightly different.

The trees are Pansun, on the way to Bukit Kayu Hitam.

This year 2021, is a good season. the chempedak, manggis and durian are fruiting.

 

REPLANTING THE POTTED PLANTS

 After a month, the fig tree to be replanted on ground.

The process involved a few steps:
1. Preparation of the site.
2. Getting the seedlings ready.
3. Planting
4. Maintainance

1. Preparing the site.

a. Dig a hole 1.5ft x 1.5 x 1.5 ft
b. fill it with mixed soil
I use the following mix.
- 2 black soil
- 2 red burned soil
- 1 cocopeat
- 1 purchased mix 6 in 1
- 0.1 chicken manure
mix all of the elements, leave it for 1 week to stablize.

2. The seedling to be readjusted to sun light.

3. Planting time: after 5 pm, to take advantage of the coming darkness. After planting, water is generously.

4. Protect the seedling from direct sun light, for at least 2 weeks.

SEEDLING FOR DURIAN for DRAFTING

Collect seeds. Throw away the damaged seeds. Soak the seeds for 24 hours, the floating seeds to be removed. Seeds with sign of bruishes to be thrown away. 

1. Choose healthy seeds
2. Clean it throughly.
3. Soak in anti-fungus and then drain the water.
4. Get the nursery site ready, draw a straight line to mark the planting site.

The alternative is to put the anti-fungus solution after the seeds are planted. Then it it is not necessary to soak the seeds. 

5. Insert the seeds in the correct way.
6. Water it and install sun netting'' to control the amount of light.
7. After 45 hari,  transfer it to the polybags.
8. Use pipe to make the hole for the seedlings

1. Planting in the estate at 40 feet in between the trees. The nominal number of trees per acres is 25 

 

JACK FRUIT

 One of the largest tropical fruit of a tree is the jack fruit. There are others, from pumkin  family, which is larger.

My neighbor was kind enough to offer me, a fruit from a tree behind hid house.

I does not look like it is ripe. The thorn is a bit small.
However, the ripe smell was already appearance 

When we opened it. It was ok, Already ripe enough for consumption

Likely it is a Nangka Madu. Which are commercially planted.

 

AIRLAYER FOR PAPAYA

 It had been a long time since I did the airlayer of my papaya tree. This morning I tried again.

1. Choose a good brunch to cut and airlayer.

Steady the brunch with some string. This is to aid the plant to withstand wind.

2. Cut about 50% of the brunch, put a separating wood and some rooting compound. Separating wood prevents the healing of the brunch.

4. Put some soil or other planting material

put soil and water it.

5. Then water it and mark the date . Expected to root in 4 weeks.

6. Today 2 July 2021. There was a good sign, the roots start to appear. I have to wait, 2 more weeks to see that the number of roots should increase. If it does not increase, I may have to continue to plant it. Roots do not last forever. They will start to die off.
